Accreditation Program
The New York State Deputies Association, Inc., in conjunction with the New York State Sheriffs' Association, Inc., nominates a deputy sheriff to serve as a member of the DCJS Accreditation Council. Upon approval by the Governor, our representative attends Council meetings to ensure that the unique needs of deputy sheriffs and Sheriff's departments are full explained. The deputy serves a two year term. Detailed information on the Accreditation process and program can be found at the DCJS website.
