Membership for Individuals
Individual memberships are available to interested parties at a cost of $25 for Sheriffs' employees and $35 for others. Dues are based on calendar year and are not pro-rated. Individual members will receive a NYSDA membership card and two window decals, and may attend NYSDA events at the member rates. Download an application for individual membership.
Membership for Organizations
Any certified group of Sheriff's employees is eligible for membership in NYSDA. We offer three levels of service - Associate, Basic and Full-service - designed to meet the needs of different organizations. Although we assist with collective bargaining and other labor related matters, we do not become the "bargaining agent" for a member organization. Organizations retain ownership of their organization, and NYSDA's participation is offered in an advisory capacity. No decisions are finalized without the approval of the local association.
