Click here to download a copy of the Chautauqua County SEA Policy for injuries covered by General Municipal Law, Section 207-c. As relevant to this bargaining unit, this provision of law covers correction officers, and provides that any correction officer who is injured or becomes ill in the performance of his/her duties shall continue to receive his/her full salary. In addition, the employer is responsible for the cost of any medical treatment required as a result of the injury. If you are injured in the performance of your duties, it is important that you follow the procedures as explained in the referenced document. The document contains the necessary application form and waiver forms (print pages 8-12 if you want the application and waiver forms only).
