Don has been a Saratoga County Correction Officer
since 1987. After serving as
NYSDA Secretary for several years, he was elected Vice-President in
2009 and became President in 2010. He is a
certified instructor by both the Commission on Corrections and the
Bureau for Municipal Police. He
has been active in the Saratoga County DSBA since 1990, holding the
positions of Secretary, 2nd Vice-President and 1st
Vice-President. He is
currently the Saratoga County DSBA president.

Erin Fuller
Orleans County

Erin has been an Orleans County Deputy since 1998. Prior to that
he was a U.S. Marine, serving in the Gulf War. He has held
several offices in the Orleans County Deputy Sheriffs' Association,
and currently is president of that organization. He has been
active in NYSDA for many years, including serving as a member of the
legislative committee. He holds a BS degree in Criminal
Justice from SUNY Brockport, and was selected as Deputy of the Year
in 2001 for his efforts as a member of the Orleans County SCUBA
team.

Norm Itjen
Genesee County

Norm has been a Correction
Officer in Genesee County since 1993. He became involved in
the Genesee County DSA in the late 1990s, holding various offices
including Treasurer. In 2005 when the unit split, Norm was
elected President of the newly formed Genesee County SEA, a position
he still holds. He has been involved with NYSDA for more than
10 years, and was elected Recording Secretary in October of 2009.

Carl Farber
Herkimer County
Active in NYSDA since 1980, Carl Farber is the
“senior” member of the executive board.
Currently Treasurer, Carl has also served as Vice-President of
the organization. Carl is
a Deputy Sheriff with the Herkimer County Sheriff’s Office, and a
member of the Herkimer County Deputy Sheriff’s Association.
He is currently assigned to the building security detail, and
also serves as a department firearms instructor and armorer.
Carl has been a member of the Herkimer County Sheriff’s
Office since 1977.

Frank Fuller
Chautauqua County

Frank Fuller
Frank Fuller was
appointed Sgt. At Arms in October of 2009 and was elected Financial
Secretary in June of 2010. Frank has been with
the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office since August of 1992 and was
active in the local union almost his entire career. He is
currently president of the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Employees'
Association, an office that he has held for many years. He has
been an active member of the NYSDA Legislative Committee, traveling
to Albany to lobby for NYSDA's agenda on many occasions.

Fred Ingles
Wyoming County

Fred has been with the
Wyoming County Sheriff's Department since 1982, serving as civil
deputy, special deputy and 911 dispatcher. He earned an Associates
and Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and is a graduate of the
Basic Police Officer School and Civil School. Fred served in the
Army for two years prior to being employed by the NYS Department of
Corrections at Attica Correctional Facility, retiring at the rank of
sergeant. He has served numerous terms as president of the Wyoming
County Sheriff's Employees' Association.

Tom started his law enforcement career as a
Trainee with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in 1975.
He was hired as a patrol deputy in 1977, and was promoted to
sergeant in 1986. In 1987
he was elected president of what was then Local 2964 of Council 82,
and which ultimately became the Monroe County Deputy Sheriff’s
Association. Tom remained
president until his retirement in 1998, and during that time
represented over 700 deputies in the jail, patrol, court security and
civil divisions. He holds
an Associate In Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Monroe
Community College, and a Certificate in Labor Studies from Cornell
University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
Tom was active in NYSDA as president of the Monroe County unit,
and has served as Executive Director since 1998.
Chaplain
Father Valentine Krul
Father Krul (fondly known by most as Father Val) is
NYSDA’s Chaplain, a position he has held since 1984.
The son of a former police chief, he has been immersed in law
enforcement all of his life. Father
Val holds both Master of Divinity and Master of Arts Degrees.
Father Val was ordained a Roman Catholic Priest on May 7, 1977
in the Diocese of Syracuse. He
currently serves as Pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New York Mills,
NY, a position he has held since 1994.
Over the years he has served as chaplain to countless law
enforcement agencies and fire departments, and he offers counseling
and spiritual assistance to NYSDA members across the state.
