Deputies Association is pleased to offer several scholarships designed
to assist students pursuing a degree in a criminal justice field.
Several scholarship options are available. Choose the application or
applications that you wish to complete below. If you are a member of an organization that is a basic or full-service member of NYSDA (or a dependent of such a member), and are pursuing a college course of study in a criminal justice field click member application for the application. Applications for these scholarships must be postmarked no later than March 15 or September 15 of each year. If you are a New York State resident, pursuing a career in a criminal justice field click NYS Resident application for the application. Applications for these scholarships must be postmarked no later than April 15 if each year. If you are a Broome County resident, a graduating high school senior, and entering college in pursuit of a career in a criminal justice field, click Tarsia Scholarship Application for the Deputy Kevin Tarsia Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship was established in memory of Deputy Tarsia, who was shot and killed on July 4, 2002. Applications for this scholarship must be postmarked no later than May 1. If you are an Onondaga County resident, a graduating high school senior, and entering college in pursuit of a career in a criminal justice field, click Searles Scholarship Application for the Deputy Glenn Searles Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship was established in memory of Deputy Searles who was struck by a car and killed on duty on November 29, 2003. Applications for this scholarship must be postmarked no later than May 1. If you are an Essex County resident, a graduating high school senior, and entering college in pursuit of a career in a criminal justice field, click Loiselle Scholarship Application for the Sergeant Eric Loiselle Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship was established in memory of Sergeant Loiselle who was struck by a car and killed on duty on August 17, 2005. Applications for this scholarship must be postmarked no later than May 1.
